About Trusses

A truss is a structural framework, typically made from straight pieces of lumber, steel, or aluminum, arranged and connected in triangular units. The triangle is the strongest and most stable geometric shape, which is why trusses are widely used in construction.

Trusses are engineered to efficiently distribute loads (such as roof weight, snow, or wind pressure) across their structure, reducing stress on any single point. This makes them strong, lightweight, and economical compared to solid beams.
